have you found the words to keep yourself alone?
found the friends to keep yourself unknown?
locked up anywhere where no one finds you
leaving all intimacy behind
i listened to the words you never dared to say
you know denial is just the easy way
think of all the time we spent
memories and what they meant
have they meant anything at all to you?
hello
goodbye
doesn’t seem to make a difference tonight
so this just your way of getting through
something we have never been into?
if this just your way of getting through
something we have never been into hello
goodbye
doesn’t make a difference tonight

I was shocked with the small electronic elements on it when I was a teenager. I stopped listening to them a while ago, but when I bought the record I was hooked for a week.
Steigerungslied is my fave track of them while Revolter and Disco Hijack coming close sssinistre

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

It has such a mix of sounds and reminds me of a soft Dance Gavin Dance album. I found this record on a whim at the Denton Recycled book store. I'm glad i decided to give them a try :) Much love to the band! <3 samtastic00
